Check the mail header and see the timing where it got delayed. Mail header will give you IP address along with time stamp, where you can check the exact time and where you mail got delayed. For Outlook 2003
Start Outlook 2003
Open an e-mail message for example by double-clicking on it
In the menu select View | OptionsFor outlook 2007 http://www.electrictoolbox.com/view-email-message-headers-outlook-2007/

What is exchange infrastructure? Are the internal emails fine? Are the mails getting stuck on outbox.?? Run the message tracking and see where the mails are getting stuck? Are the send and recieve connectors configured fine??Any smart host configured on the send connectors? You are not recieving mails from all the domains? Can you do telnet and drop email? How isRaj

Hi,
Is this issue which you were facing is this resolved. When the mails get queued up on your HT or on your Edge server. what is the result you get when you run this powershell command.
Get-SendConnector id SMTP to the Internet | Format-List
Let us know the output which you recieved

When the issue pop's up again, you can also do this simple test to find out by specifying an external mail address Test-MailFlow TargetEmailAddress xyz@gmail.com. The Test-MailFlow command allows you to test whether the transport service is functioning correctly by logging on to the system mailbox in the first mailbox database on a server to create and send a test message from one server to another or to an external email address.

Can you kindly let me know on the server in Hyderabad where the messages pile up. When you run this command what is the output you recieve. This should be run on an HT Get-TransportPipeline. On the succefull running of this command in the output the last 2 fields show the output the categorizer begins to process & finishes the processing of messages.
